"SIR, MAY I PLEASE HAVE SOME MORE" (from the musical "Oliver") is the title. The theme is "Recipes from Artists, Actors, Musicians, Writers, Chefs, Celebrities and Community Leaders."

We present this cookbook in celebration of our 35th season...to entertain you with the "art" of cooking, and give a "stage" to community actors, musicians, artists, writers, leaders, chefs, and those who simply enjoy preparing good food!

This edition is special because it contains more than just recipes. We have included biographical notes to introduce our chefs, photographs of those who weren't shy; as well as their favorite recipes from our first cookbook, published in July, 1984, also appear herein. To further commemorate our many seasons, we have interspersed throughout these pages, in order of production, the titles of the 46 major shows produced by Vallejo Music Theatre since our inception in 1967.

Our thanks to Ray Salmon for his cartoons; to his wife Donna, for the hours of typing and preparation of this book; to Judith Brown, Managing Director of Vallejo Music Theatre, and Cookbook Coordinator; and to the committee members, Dixie Hill & Elizabeth Tilley.

Cookbooks are only $15.00 each. Some savory recipes include:

Grilled Pear Salad with Goat Cheese • contributed by Peter and Kristy Juliano

Oatmeal Scones • contributed by Ray and Donna Salmon

Hot German Potato Salad • contributed by Mr. & Mrs. David Froehlich
