From the pictures you can tell that we surely had a successful benefit to raise funds for the purchase of the Federal Building (please see articles and information elsewhere on our website). With fantastic support from the Vallejo Suburban Kiwanis we were gifted with a huge check for $13,000 which will be applied to the purchase of the building. Vallejo Music Theatre continues to meet both obligations and deadlines to complete escrow. As of today (May 5, 2003) we are still around $75,000 from our goal of closing escrow (down from the purchase price of $532,222 plus closing costs of $17,000). The Capital Campaign Committee, under the chairmanship of Ian Kaiser, continues to work diligently to have funds in hand by June 6 (a self imposed deadline).
