MelodramaCast

August 22 - The Gaslighters Theatre Group of Vacaville presents "Stuck Fast in Holdemat Bay" or "The Showboat Must Go On."  A Musical Melodrama in two acts, written by Alice Mcdonald with music & lyrics by Carol Zadnik.  This melodrama has been brought back to life with tender loving care by Vacaville residents Mary Muehlenbruch, Carrie Zadnik and Staci Arriaga.

Admission for dinner and the show is $20 per person.  Reception begins at 6 PM, dinner at 7 PM and the show goes up after dinner.

Our characters embark on the Delta Area Riverboat Transit (D.A.R.T.) at Holdemat Bay headed to Sacramento.  When the paddlewheel breaks and cannot be fixed they find themselves Stuck Fast in Holdemat Bay.  To keep his crew happy and paid, Capt'n Sandy agrees to make the riverboat a showboat casting crew members and passengers in the show.   Audience members will enjoy shouting out the traditional "hiss" and "boo" as the dastardly Herkimer J. Scapegrace (played by Oz Angst) tries to capture the lovely Felicity Fairheart (played by Annie Muehlenbruch), young, pure and virtuous.  Other cast members include Roy Morris as Gallant Hard, Cathy Knowles as Natasha, Paul Knowles as Capt'n Sandy, Naomi Vergara as Jenny, Logan Capps as Sharkey, and Eric Oparka, Rebecca Zadnick, Chloe Angst, Courtney Kowles, Will Brown, Alex Valenze and Natalie Angst.
